Ballet Memphis Single Tickets Go on Sale Sept. 8 for 40th Anniversary Season

Single tickets for Ballet Memphis’ milestone 40th anniversary season will go on sale to the general public Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m., giving audiences the opportunity to experience a season of dance celebrating four decades of creativity, artistry and storytelling in Memphis.

Single tickets will be available for Ballet Memphis’ Season 40 productions, including Memphis Sounds, The Nutcracker, Winter Mix: Celebration and Peter Pan. The season includes performances at Playhouse on the Square and the Orpheum Theatre.

“Our 40th anniversary season is a celebration of where Ballet Memphis has been and where we’re going, and we want the entire community to be part of it,” said Steven McMahon, Artistic Director. “With single tickets now available, audiences can choose the performances that speak to them and experience the incredible artistry, music and storytelling that make this season so special. Whether you join us every season or are experiencing Ballet Memphis for the first time, this is an especially exciting year to be in the audience.”

Single tickets start at $29, with pricing varying by production and seating location. Four-show season subscription packages, which include savings of up to 20 percent compared with single-ticket prices and other subscriber benefits such as free exchanges and the best seat locations, remain available starting at just $126.

Ballet Memphis Urges Patrons to Buy Tickets Directly

As single tickets go on sale, Ballet Memphis is also reminding patrons to purchase tickets only through its official website or directly through Ballet Memphis Patron Services.

Third-party ticket resale sites can appear prominently in online searches and may offer Ballet Memphis tickets at prices significantly higher than face value. Tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party sellers may also be fraudulent or invalid, and Ballet Memphis cannot refund, exchange or otherwise resolve problems with tickets purchased outside its official ticketing channels.

“We want every patron’s experience with Ballet Memphis to be a positive one from the moment they purchase their ticket,” said Andrew Goldberg, Executive Director. “Unfortunately, third-party sites can look legitimate while selling tickets at significantly inflated prices or, in some cases, tickets that may not be valid. We strongly encourage audiences to start at balletmemphis.org and purchase through our official ticketing channels. We want to protect our patrons.”

The reminder is particularly important for performances at the Orpheum Theatre, where patrons may encounter third-party sellers advertising tickets to popular productions.
The safest way to ensure a ticket is valid and purchased at the authorized price
is to begin at balletmemphis.org.

Patrons who have questions about tickets, seating or whether a ticketing site is legitimate are encouraged to contact Ballet Memphis Patron Services at 901-214-2400 before purchasing. Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
