Many ladies in the Mid-South have come to know and love Amazing Lace! The online boutique, based out of Memphis, has been around since 2007 but has gotten a lot of attention over recent years. What started out as “Amazing Lace Outlets” on eBay just opened a store in Arlington and it’s a bohemian-chic dream come to life.
Amazing Lace carries clothes, shoes, and accessories. The design of the store layout is unique and elegant, much like the merchandise inside. The windows allow beautiful natural light to shine throughout, the hat wall is an adorable centerpiece and the thoughtfully curated light fixtures all come together to create the ideal boutique environment.
According to owner Chrissy Chandler, Amazing lace’s style is multifaceted:
“Amazing Lace is very sassy. Amazing Lace is very fierce,” Chandler said. “We are boho but we’re also trendsetters. We are unpredictable—which gives us an edge. We’re all-around a little moody, and we embrace that.”
Chrissy’s vision has truly come to light with their store opening in Arlington! Her background in design from an Art school she attended in college can be noted in all the details of composition in the boutique. What was once a Ford dealership years ago is now a charming, rustic space to shop at. With every delicate detail thoughtfully laid out, you’ll fall in love with the style and warmth that Amazing Lace offers. From trending prints and patterns to vintage finds, there is something for all in-store.
When asked about how the tagline ‘babes’ started for Amazing Lace, Chandler responded
“Babe: It embodies womanhood and girlhood and sisterhood. And, everything in between. Being a babe makes you feel feminine and edgy at the same time.”
When Amazing Lace was Amazing Lace Outlets on eBay back in the day, there were tricks and tips to own the algorithm of that platform. These days, however, Amazing Lace is thriving on Instagram. Chrissy has been a boss babe since day one, working through social platform changes while growing the company at once. Her business skills put together with her warm heart and fashion-forward style have brought us the enchanting flavor that Amazing Lace graces us with.
Though Amazing Lace already has a successful business online and great Instagram following, the company wanted community. With models, influencers, and shoppers nationwide, Amazing Lace longed for that personal connection with their customers.
“With E-commerce in the digital world, we can have five or 10,000 girls go through our store daily and you don’t see one of them. You don’t get the chance to meet them and have relationships with them. It isn’t personal enough. You just have social interactions. So the sense of community with our customers was not there (online). We need relationships.”
