AfroSoul Fest: Connecting Memphis to the Soul of Modern Africa

This September, something powerful is happening in Downtown Memphis. AfroSoul Fest 2025 is bringing the beats, the flavor, and the energy of modern Africa to the heart of the city.

Set for Sunday, September 28 at Court Square Park, AfroSoul Fest will be a celebration of culture, identity, and community and a space where people from all backgrounds can come together to experience the richness of African traditions and the beauty of contemporary African expression.

As the founder of AfroSoul Fest and someone who proudly calls both Africa and Memphis home,

"This event is deeply personal. I wanted to create something that speaks to who we are and where we come from. Something that brings people together through music, food, art, and joy."

What to Expect:

🎶 Live DJs and performances from artists repping Afrobeats, highlife, and other African genres.

🍽️ Afro-fusion food that hits every craving, from classic jollof to new-school street eats.

🛍️ Black-owned vendors offering fashion, wellness, and handmade goods with cultural roots.

🎨 Creative workshops and live art experiences for all ages.

🖤 A powerful sense of community, open to everyone who wants to celebrate African culture with love and curiosity.

Why it Matters:

Memphis is a city that knows soul. From Beale Street to the block parties, we know what it means to create something meaningful out of rhythm, history, and heart. AfroSoul Fest fits right into that legacy, offering a new space to highlight the global Black experience and uplift local culture in the process.

If you’ve ever felt the pull of a drumbeat, the comfort of shared food, or the joy of a community dancing in sync, then this festival is for you. Whether you’re African, Caribbean, African American, or just someone who loves culture, you’re invited to be part of it.
