Few winter traditions feel as magical as Starry Nights, the glowing holiday drive-through experience that brings thousands of families to Shelby Farms Park each year. You can greet guests, direct traffic, assist with check-in, and keep the experience running smoothly. Every shift supports the Shelby Farms and the Greenline, ensuring these community spaces stay welcoming and well-maintained. Plus, you’ll get to drive through lights, too!
Feast For Friends Winter Party
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 4-7pm (CT)
Feast For Friends is all about community – sharing food, celebrating together, and making sure everyone feels included during the holiday season. Volunteers will welcome guests, serve food, assist with event flow, and make sure everyone feels at home. If you love holiday gatherings, friendly faces, and spreading joy, this Winter Party is a great way to wrap up your year.
Room in the Inn “Serving with a Smile” Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner
Daily in December | Multiple Shifts Available
Room in the Inn serves families and individuals experiencing homelessness by giving shelter, meals, and community. Volunteers are needed to prepare food, serve guests, assist with setup and cleanup, and offer warm hospitality. A simple smile and a plate of food can go a long way during the coldest months of the year.
Christmas Fiesta at the Dixon
Saturday, December 13 | Multiple Shifts Available
Capture the creativity of the season at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens’ Christmas Fiesta. This free community event features hands-on art activities, music, and festive fun for all ages. Volunteers help visitors create seasonal crafts, explore the museum, and enjoy a joyful afternoon together. It’s a perfect opportunity for anyone who loves art and community traditions.
