A New Beginning: Hospitality Hub Breaks Ground on 60-Home Campus in North Memphis

In a powerful step forward for housing equity and family support in Memphis, Hospitality Hub has officially broken ground on Hub North, a transformative new campus that will feature 60 single-family homes for families facing homelessness.

Located at 777 Fireside Avenue, on the former site of Manassas High School in the New Chicago neighborhood, this new development will restore dignity, create stability, and offer the kind of community-driven care that changes lives.

“Hub North is a place where families will regain their footing and begin a new chapter. Every detail of this campus was designed with compassion in mind.”

🏠 What Will Hub North Look Like?

  • 60 modular, single-family homes (each ~630 sq. ft.)

  • A dedicated resource center for wraparound services

  • Common spaces for families to connect and recharge

  • On-site school pickup for children

  • An expected 4,000 individuals served annually, many of them children

From the outside, this will look like a neighborhood. But what’s really being built is a lifeline for parents and children who’ve been dealt an impossible hand and a community of care that many have never known before.

🛠️ Who’s Making It Happen?

This all-hands-on-deck effort is fueled by Memphis love:

  • Development by November 6 Investments

  • Modular builds for fast move-in, built by ViktorHall Construction

  • Design by local firms LRK and archimania

  • Major support from City Councilwoman Rhonda Logan, who shared a deeply personal story about how easily homelessness could have been her own reality

“Everybody doesn’t have extended family... but they’re good people. They just need some help.”

🫶 Why It Matters

Let’s be honest: homelessness isn’t one-dimensional, and it’s not a faraway issue. For many families in Memphis, all it takes is a job loss, an illness, or the end of a lease to spiral into instability. And while Memphis has made huge strides in housing, we still need safe, family-focused spaces that offer more than just a roof.

Hub North offers that and so much more.

It’s stability. It’s support. It’s the first night a child doesn’t have to sleep in a car. It’s the first shower in days. It’s dinner together, school pickup, and knowing that someone cares.

🏙️ Memphis, Let’s Celebrate This

With the full site expected to open in 2026, Hub North is a win for Memphis. It shows what’s possible when leaders, neighbors, and organizations dream bigger than just getting by.

This is the kind of compassionate, collaborative spirit that makes our city stronger and more just.
