Everybody loves to hate on Valentine’s Day, but the fact of the matter is that we’ve all got somebody to love, even if it’s yourself. So, why not make it just another day to show it? Stupid cupid is making his rounds again and he’s brought sweet pairings, dinner, dancing, trivia, games, and art making and more to enjoy whether or not you’re boo’d up.

Thursday, February 6 (6PM-7:30PM)

Gather with your gals pals for a champagne-sippin’, cupcake-consumin’, cookie craftin’ kinda of evening. You’ll learn fun piping skills as your decorate 3 Valentine themed cookies and 3 cupcakes, because nothing says sweet, sweet friendship like a sugar rush. Must be 21+ to attend.

Friday, February 7 (7PM-10PM)

This one’s for the chocolate hunnies out there and not just because Phillip Ashley chocolates will be consumed. If you’re looking for a space to celebrate the black love you have with someone else or rediscover the black love you have with yourself, make your way to the National Civil Rights Museum where you’ll find it.

Friday, February 7th (5PM-8PM)

You’ve got a $5 dollar punch card and a mission to eat all of the tasty treats along the Sweet Street Tour. If you succeed you could win basket of Broad Avenue goodies!

Friday, February 7 (7PM-12:30AM)

All proceeds from this show, featuring local bands Mama Honey, Native Blood, Chinese Dub Connection Embassy, Nefarious Damn Things, and Magnum Dopus, go toward Love Doesn’t Hurt—a fund for LGBTQ individuals who are victims of domestic and intimate partner violence and abuse.

Friday, February 8 (6PM-9PM)

Crafting and cupcakes make for a great Galentine’s day. Head over to Muddy’s to meet up with Midtown Bramble will teach you how to make macrame wall-hanging. Tickets include all of the needed materials, your first cupcake, and countless cups of coffee.

Kortland Whalum invites you  to hear the languages of love translated through jazz, pop, and soul in the Green Room at Crosstown Arts.

Climb aboard the Memphis Riverboats for a little romancin’ on the river. You and your cutie with cruise the Mississippi while enjoying a buffet stacked with tasty eats. Music will be provided by the House Jazz Band and drinks will be flowing at the cash/credit bar.
