MEMPHIS' FAVORITE HOLIDAY IS UPON US, AND THIS YEAR WE'RE STRETCHING IT OUT ALL SEPTEMBER LONG. KEEP SCROLLING AND BRING ON THE CELEBRATION!
On a surface level, it’s the commemoration of an area code—but at its core, 901 Day monumentalizes Memphis. The slang, the style, the food, the culture, the people all work together to make the 901, the most burtiful land in the world. How are you celebrating?
- Want to make your rounds to all of the eateries we’ve been blessed with? You won’t be hangry, that’s for sure!
- Want to volunteer your time or donate your dollars to your favorite local org or nonprofit? That’s incredible!
- Want to dance it out and celebrate with the whole city? Don’t step on nobody’s Forces!
You could learn some history, support a local business, go on a photo walk, slice a pool, stream Memphis music, purchase that one-of-a-kind piece made by a local artist… I think you get the picture.
We’ve got so much to be proud of here, and this celebration only comes once a year.

THE BROOKS IS CELEBRATING ALL MONTH
The Brooks Museum is offering free admission to locals all September, celebrating 110 years in Overton Park before the big move downtown. Sept. 27 marks the last day in Overton Park before the museum reopens as Memphis Art Museum downtown.
- Craft Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 6: Local chefs, wine, cocktails, and live entertainment. 21 and older.
- Come As Thou Art: A Broadway Musical Masquerade Ball and Runway, Sept. 25: A Broadway inspired evening with a runway show and costume contest.
- Final Super Saturday in Overton Park, Sept. 26: Free drop in artmaking for families, the last one before the move.

901 DAY WEEKEND W/ THE CITY OF MEMPHIS
The City of Memphis is celebrating with a full lineup of events from August 28th-August 30th! This weekend includes creative mixers, local artists,
August 28th ~ The city is collaborating with South Main’s Trolley Night to host a creative mixer and concert at the National Civil Right’s Museum!

August 30th ~ On Sunday, Downtown memphis transforms into a full 901 Day celebration! The entire city will gather at W.C. Handy Park, New Daisy Theater, and more locations on and around Beale Street. Prepare for family fun, games, funky DJ sets, live music, and a special performance by a 
secret headliner (ooo…ahhh)!
Recess Reloaded
It’s the adults’ turn to play! Recess Reloaded is the ultimate adult field day festival (21+) where competition, culture, fun, and community collide. For one day, Memphis gets to turn Mud Island into its own playground. Get ready for rock climbing, live music, giant waterslides and MORE! The perfect way to celebrate the 901!

Memphis Redbirds vs. Durham Bulls
Keep the 901 Day celebration going into the evening with the Memphis Redbirds.
The Redbirds take on the Durham Bulls at AutoZone Park at 6:45 PM, giving you another chance to spend the day supporting a Memphis team and enjoying one of the city’s favorite summer traditions
