This past Sunday the 56th Autozone Liberty Bowl matchup was announced. Memphis is so excited to have fans of the Texas A&M Aggies and the West Virginia Mountaineers visiting for the game. We want you to have a great experience while you visit Memphis.
We believe Memphis is the premiere destination to enjoy and invest your life and you should check out a few things while you are in town:
You should know about Memphis. Things happen here that impact the country and the world. Ask Elvis fanatics, anyone who has ever benefited from FedEx deliveries, anyone who has stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, or survivors of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. There are rich things to know about the city. Explore it. See the National Civil Rights Museum.
BBQ Mecca aka Memphis. You would be crazy to come to Memphis as a guest and not try either Central BBQ‘s nachos or see the historic Rendezvous BBQ. But depending on who you ask around town, you may hear of a different favorite BBQ opportunity. Ask a local which one to try.
It’s known as both the “Birthplace of Blues” and the “Birthplace of Rock and Roll.” Memphis is a huge piece of the story of some all-time music greats: Elvis Presley, Otis Redding, Johnny Cash, BB King, W.C. Handy, Muddy Waters, Jerry Lee Lewis. Make the time to check out Sun Studios, Stax Museum, Rock’n’Soul Museum, and live music on Beale Street!
