Today at a press conference at FedExForum, Chamber Interim President and CEO Dexter Muller and Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, along with Memphis Mayor A C Wharton, Jr., Shelby County Mayor Mark H. Luttrell, Jr., announced that Conduit Global will open a call center and back office support facility in the Goodlett Farms area.
This will include an initial 300 new jobs that will provide inbound customer care support for wireless customers. These new job opportunities will include agent positions and support roles in Training, Human Resources, Operations, Quality, IT, and Workforce Analytics. Conduit Global is one of the world’s largest independent, fully-integrated BPO companies with expertise in multi-channel contact center and back office solutions. They have a global footprint with 14 locations in nine countries. In Memphis, the company plans to begin hiring immediately, with a goal of filling approximately 300 positions within the first three months and eventually up to 1,000 jobs.

A successful candidate for the new agent positions will have customer service experience (preferably within a call center environment), be a great listener with excellent communication skills, have computer skills, and be a problem-solver. Conduit Global selected the Memphis location for the new Customer Care operation due to the area’s strong and diverse labor market, as well as the close proximity of technical schools, colleges, and universities, all of which will serve to support future expansion. Conduit Global plans to hire over 1000 employees in the Memphis location in the next few years through customer growth.
